The Witch's Grove is a six-week self-paced initiation into green magick, animism, and the language of the wild.
Week 1 -- Animism and Meeting the Wild Spirits
We begin at the root. You will learn what animism actually is -- and what it is not -- and meet the full spectrum of wild spirits: plant devas, animal guardians, land spirits, and the elemental beings who dwell just beneath the surface of the ordinary world. Your first nature walk will never feel the same again.
Week 2 -- Dissolving Fears and the Cultural Taint
Most of us have inherited a distorted map of the spirit world -- shaped by horror films, cultural skepticism, and half-remembered warnings. This week, we dismantle those inherited fears with honesty, ritual, and practical deprogramming. Clearing the perceptual static is the work most practitioners skip. We do not skip it.
Week 3 -- The Grove and Its Animal Spirits
Your animal allies are not symbols on a card. They are relationships. This week, we move into the living practice of working with animal messengers and spirit companions—how to recognize them, approach them respectfully, and receive their guidance without projection or wishful thinking.
Week 4 -- Ethical Connections and the Elemental Beings
Relationships have ethics. This week, we explore how to approach, ask, receive, and give back in spirit work—and we go deep with the elemental beings: gnomes, undines, sylphs, and salamanders, not as fantasy, but as the conscious forces governing the living world you inhabit every single day.
Week 5 -- Elements and the Art of Dendromancy
Trees are the oldest teachers on this earth. This week, we learn dendromancy -- the art of communing with trees -- alongside deepening elemental literacy and Celtic herbal lore. This week will permanently change how you walk through a forest, a garden, or your own backyard.
Week 6 -- Spirit Integration and Your Living Practice
The final gateway is about synthesis. How do all of these relationships and practices weave together into a craft that sustains you -- in ritual and on a Wednesday afternoon? We close with a Grove initiation ritual, your spoken I Am statements of power, and a clear framework for continuing this work for the rest of your practice.

I am Leandra Witchwood -- Modern Witch, Priestess, Master Herbalist, Celtic and Usui Reiki Master, and Wortcunner with more than two decades of practice in green magick, animism, shadow work, and the Celtic healing traditions.
I founded The Magick Kitchen in 2011. What began as a blog grew into one of the top twenty podcasts in the religion and spirituality category. I have written five books on witchcraft and shadow work. I hand-blend loose-leaf teas through The Witchwood Teahouse, rooted in vitalist herbalism. I lead rituals, women's circles, and initiatory containers through the Rebel Mystic Coven and Academy.
But the piece of me that most belongs in this course is the wortcunner -- the plant-speaking, earth-listening, grove-walking practitioner who has spent her life in relationship with the wild world. (Wortcunning, for those new to the term, is the art of deep plant knowledge combined with spiritual relationship -- the witch's herbalism, as old as the craft itself.)

Frequently Asked Questions
I am completely new to witchcraft. Is this right for me?
Yes -- without qualification. The Witch's Grove was designed with the beginning practitioner fully in mind. We start at the root: the foundational understanding of animism, what the wild spirits are, and how to begin sensing them safely and respectfully. You do not need prior experience in spirit work. You need curiosity, willingness, and a window you are ready to open.
I have been practicing for years. Will this be too basic?
The animist and spirit-work foundations in The Witch's Grove are ones that many long-term practitioners have never formally studied -- and those gaps are often exactly where practice feels thin or disconnected. Students from the live version of this course included seasoned witches who described this content as 'the piece I have been missing for years.' If you already have a relationship with plant spirits and wild allies, this course will deepen and structure what you know. If you do not, it will change everything.
How much time do I need each week?
Plan for three to five hours per week -- including the video teachings, written lessons, exercises, journaling, and any nature practice. You set the pace within the weekly structure. The content drips week by week, so you are not tempted to rush through what is meant to be lived slowly.
What if I fall behind?
As long as you maintain your account, you will not lose access. The course is yours. If life calls you away for a week, the Grove will be waiting when you return, ready to meet you where you are. This work does not have an expiration date, and neither does the wild world.
